In the north side of a cross-sign terrace, there is a rectangular hall, 6.40 meter wide, 20.40 meters length that constructed of laterite with sandstone and facing to the south side with an entrance in the east side. On the Phlab Phla base, there are 8 stone pillars and a corridor that surrounded the three sided of Phlab Phla except the south side which is the front part of Phlab Phla. It can be assumed that all the buildings may be the wood with roof tiled and the outermost area of the building group has a rampart which constructed of laterite and volcanic stone surrounded in another layer.
At present, the Phlab Phla hall is compared as “Phlab Phla Pleuang Khreuang” which is the pavilion for preparing and dressing of king or royalty that came to Phanom Rung to purify Atman (soul). On the other hand, the local believed this building is the white elephant house because they misunderstood and thought that the hill top Prasat is the palace which always has the elephant house and the horse house in the front of palace.
The Phlab Phla Pleuang Khreuang can be defined age around the 18th century Buddha coincided with Baphuon Khmer art. It can be assumed from the using of laterite as a main material and the pattern of lotus petal and four flower petal on the column head which is a prominent pattern in that time. However, it was found that the Naga hood which decorated the gable frame is a design of Klang Khmer art around the 16th century Buddha which older than Bayon Period. It demonstrated about the rebuilding by using the part of old building which is a common matter of Prasat in Khmer culture.
